I have
arthritis in my knees, hips, and back, and that has caused many problems for me,
as I love to be active and on my feet a lot. With my knees and hips it got so
bad that I couldn’t walk right at all. Both my knees and hips were giving out on
me and the joints grew very sore. Because of that, I had to stop going out for
long walks and couldn’t even jog without one of my knees feeling like I shoved a
knife into it.
Then, thank the Lord, my grandmother saw someone with Z-CoiL shoes and asked
about them. She quickly referred me to our local store, where I got a pair for
myself, and I could tell a difference immediately. I walk better, more evenly,
can be on my feet for longer periods of time, both still and in motion, and I
can jog and run in short bursts (other health problems keep me from doing much
more). Overall, I’m a very happy customer with a very comfortable pair of Z-CoiL
shoes.

I LOVE MY
Z-COIL SHOES!!!! I had been suffering for several months from pain caused by
plantar fasciitis. I work in a grocery store and spend several hours a day on my
feet. I discovered these shoes while on vacation in Gatlinburg, TN. I usually do
a lot of hiking when we go there, but the pain this time stopped me from being
able to hike. Actually, I had not been able to exercise for several months, and
to be honest I was packing on the pounds, not to mention getting depressed.
The day before Thanksgiving I worked 10 hours and the pain was terrible. I went
on vacation, discovered the shoes, and Christmas Eve I worked 15 hours and could
have kept going. I couldn’t believe it! The foot and heel pain was 90 percent
gone in just 10 days! I also need a partial knee replacement, but have put off
the surgery for now because the shoes also relieve my knee pain.
I have gone from having a significant limp to barely one at all. I just can't
say enough about these shoes. They have definitely changed my life!

A few years ago, I had an ankle
fusion. The following year, I broke my leg above the fusion. I have been in

Before I got

My husband gave me a pair for
Christmas, and I now have my life back! I have arthritis of the spine and have
taken medication for it for ten years—twice a day, every day. If I ran out, it
was panic time, because I would be in a lot of pain, unable to stand straight,
or even clean my house.

I have suffered from
plantar fasciitis for several years, and it’s been especially severe this last
year. Eight months ago my husband and I began planning a long-awaited trip to
England and Paris. Knowing I would be walking a great deal, I worked hard on
getting my foot healed for the trip. I went to a podiatrist. She gave me
orthotic inserts that worked for a while, and a night boot I couldn’t wear
because it gave me restless leg syndrome. She sent me to physical therapy for
ultrasound treatments. That worked for the day of the treatment only. She wanted
to give me shots, but after researching that option, I decided against it. One
day in church I saw a woman wearing funny shoes with a metal coil at the heel.
She told me about her Z-CoiL shoes and I got a pair that week.
I wore them whenever I left the house all summer. I bought the Z-Walker to start
with, then sandals, finally a pair of clogs. Still having severe pain in bed,
while seated, and getting up (but not with my shoes on), we left for a three
week trip to England and Paris. I wasn’t sure I could keep up with the grueling
schedule we had created for ourselves.
We walked 8 to 10 hours a day for three weeks: to the top of Glastonbury Tor
(pictured), stone floor cathedrals, marble floor museums, uneven rocky ruins,
castles, pathways, cobble-stone city streets and lots and lots of steps. I
absolutely could not have done any of it without my Z-CoiL shoes. The Louvre
alone would have undone me immediately. By the time I got home, after wearing
them exclusively day and evening, my feet were terrific. I won’t say my
60-year-old feet didn’t ache in general at the end of each day after hours of
sight-seeing, but my heel pain was gone. I have no more pain at night, and just
a little ache to stretch out when I get up in the morning. I don’t want the
problem to come back, so I wear my flat sandals with my old orthotic inserts
around the house, but my Z-CoiL shoes are the only shoes I wear out.

I feel freedom around the corner…
I have had plantar fasciitis in my left foot now for four years. I have had PT,
cortisone shots, hard casts and soft (air boot) casts, and now Laser treatments,
and I am still wearing my orthotics. I still have trouble at night and in the
morning when not wearing any shoes. I have heard good and bad things about
having the surgery and the doctors also say there is no guarantee. I also have a
condition called Reflex Symptomatic Dystrophy (RSD) which is basically "severe
nerve pain" that kicks in when I have any kind of surgery or procedure. I wind
up in the hospital on a morphine drip for about 3-4 days, then it goes away. So
you can see why I don't want to choose the surgery road.
After wearing the air boot on a daily basis—which also messes up your
alignment—my friends at work told me to go and try the Z-CoiL shoes. I had
already tried 32 different pairs of tennis shoes and was hesitant about trying
another. Well, I thought they looked goofy but I was willing to try anything at
this point. I found the Z-CoiL Pain Relief Footwear store in Millersville, MD,
and spoke with Lisa. I went there on a Monday. It took a while to get used to
them, as you have to gradually break them in (one hour the first day, two the
second and so on) but after a while I said “FREEDOM AT LAST!”
I have been wearing the Blue and White Freedom for 16 hours a day now and I just
went back and bought the Tia work dress shoe. Yes, they still have no taste for
the women's style dress shoe, but I had to get something. With Z-CoiL shoes you
will have the ability to be able to walk again with no pain! What a difference
they have made in my life! :>) Yes, they still look goofy to other people and
some people even think they are cool looking/new trend even—but hey, I don't
care, because they work. The coils take the pressure off my heel and enable me
to walk and stand.

Z-CoiL
shoes changed my life. I destroyed my right ankle in a car accident
and my left ankle collapsed in response to the added stress. I had to
learn to walk all over again and was somewhat crippled for nine years.
Then I was told about Z-CoiL shoes. I ran out and bought one pair. The
next week I went back and bought another two pairs. I only wear Z-CoiL
shoes now, and I run and walk for over five miles at a time because of
these spectacular shoes. The shoe itself is great, and with the spring
I can leap tall buildings in a single bound. Well, at least I feel as
if I could! I get stopped all the time for information about my cool
shoes.
Unfortunately, there is no store near where I live. When my daughter
and I were in L.A., we rented a car just to go to the store with Z-CoiL
shoes in Torrance, CA. When I visit my daughter in NYC we will go to
the store in either Rochelle Park, NJ, or Norwalk, CT. I get stopped
by teenagers who just want a cool shoe. Where I live, people would be
happy to have Z-CoiL shoes just for their looks. But once they tried
them, they'd want them for their comfort, too. But they aren't
available here. What a shame.

I was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis last
fall in my right heel. I went through stretching exercises, ice
therapy and rest with only temporary results. This summer I developed
the same problem in my left heel as well. I also have back pain from a
minor injury 10 years ago. This continued pain concerned me because I
am an elementary music specialist and am on my feet with my students
all day. The pain was not getting better and school would start back
soon. On a family trip to Hot Springs, AR, I ran across a Z-CoiL
store, was custom-fitted in the Freedom 2000 tennis shoe, and now both
my heels feel great. Everywhere I go, I am confronted with stares and

I was
desperate before I learned about these amazing shoes. I have severe
plantar fasciitis and had gotten to the point where I could hardly
walk. I work at an elementary school, so being up on the concrete
floors all day only made things worse. But the first day I put the Z-CoiL
tennis shoes on, I cried. For the first time in almost two years I
wasn't in agony anymore. I had freedoms again that I didn't think I

I have been a Registered
Nurse for 40+ years and as a result I have been on my feet a lot. I
developed plantar fasciitis and bone spurs on my heels. I had the
spurs removed and was fitted with custom-made insoles, but I continued
to have problems with pain in my feet and lower back. In 2006 my
husband saw someone wearing a pair of Z-CoiL shoes and her testimony
convinced him that I should try a pair. I purchased a pair in May and
couldn't be more pleased.
I no longer come home from work exhausted and in severe pain. I am
able to work and come home and participate in activities with my
family. My grandchildren think I can jump like Tigger now, and I no

I am a registered nurse and
work in open heart surgery. I sometimes stand on my feet for more than
12 hours. These shoes have greatly increased my ability to stand for
long periods of time without pain. While other shoes may be
comfortable for a while, Z-CoiL® shoes are not only comfortable from
the moment that I put them on, they are comfortable all day long. Not
only are my feet pain-free all day, but my legs and back are pain-free
as well. I used to have to change shoes through the day to help revive
my feet and decrease the pain, but this is no longer necessary with
the Z-CoiL® shoes. They truly are the best shoes that I have ever

In November of 2006 I participated in the 3-day/60-mile breast cancer
walk to raise money for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
This was the third year I had participated in this walk. The first
year I wore regular tennis shoes and had some blister problems. I also
developed plantar fasciitis in my right foot, which necessitated
surgery. The second year I wore a different brand of tennis shoes and
had major blister problems and foot pain. The tennis shoes I used both
years could not withstand the number of miles I put on them in my
training walks and the actual walk. The tread was worn down so the
soles of the shoes were flat and smooth, and the insides of the shoes
were worn, leaving holes in the fabric.
Because of all my foot pain my doctor suggested I get Z-CoiL shoes for
my training for the 2006 walk and for the walk itself. I took his
advice and purchased my shoes at Aubry's Therapeutic Footwear in
Torrance. These shoes made all the difference for me in my training
and the 2006 walk. The foot pain I had been experiencing in both feet
disappeared. I only developed a couple of blisters on the walk, but
they were not an issue. I'm amazed that with the hundreds of miles I
have put on these shoes, they are not worn out. In fact, they're still
like new. There is no visible wear on the soles at all and the insides
are still in great shape.
I'm so glad I took my doctor's advice. 2006 was the best of the three
years I have done the walk.

I would
like to say that these shoes have changed my life. Very strong words, but the
truth. I suffer from bulging discs in my lower back. Serious problems, but I
have a young family and need to work. I'm on my feet 10 to 15 hours every day.
Without the Z-CoiL® shoes, I was going to go on disability. I now own four pairs
of Z-CoiL shoes. I will say they are expensive, but worth every red cent! I have

I first saw an
article about Z-CoiL® shoes in August of 2003. I thought they looked like a good
idea, but I was still skeptical.
I am a nurse and work 12-hour shifts. I have had plantar fasciitis for about
seven years, and have tried all the different shoes?Birkenstocks, Dansko,
Merrill, Nike?nothing made any difference. Well, five weeks ago in Tucson,
Arizona, I decided to buy a pair of Z-CoiL® footwear, as they were the only
shoes I had never tried.
After three weeks all my foot pain is gone, and I can now work more than two
days in a row. As a matter of fact, I have worked eight days now without
difficulty.
People think they look weird, but cool, and kids really get a kick out of them.
The best part, though, is jumping out of bed in the morning and my feet don't
hurt at all. I was starting to worry that I might have to give up my ER job and

My hubby, Dan, and I were at the main Z-CoiL® store on 4th Street in
Albuquerque just a week ago. We each bought a pair of 7” work boots
with enclosed coils, as we have a small ranchette in the East
Mountains. Between my husband and I, we have endured five back
surgeries—my husband three, and me two. We have taken many meds and
have used walkers, but canes mostly, since then.
The day we bought these “angelic” shoes was the day I saw my husband
stand as tall as I remembered him as a young (and, by the way, very
handsome) man. WOW! I also felt no pain, and since then have worn them
all of the time. I don’t care if they look like combat boots. I walk
our Biggg Dog with them on, on the uneven terrain of our land, and on
the gravel road in front of our home, to the doctor’s office, to the
store, etc.
I tell everyone I see using a cane or limping about these wonderful
shoes. Z-CoiL® shoes are the best thing that has happened in my life
and my husband’s in a long time. We have even gone on the Internet and
told friends around the country about them and even looked on the
website for the stores where they can purchase these “wonder” shoes.

I was in a very bad car accident in
1995 in which I broke my shoulder and crushed my ankle. I have pieces
of bone missing as well as some cartilage. I have had severe pain in
my ankles ever since. The doctor ordered a different types of molded
boots to wear, etc., but nothing worked. I had severe pain every day,
although I was fortunate to be able to walk again. Since I found your
wonderful Z-CoiL® shoes, I have worn nothing else on my feet. Any
other shoe causes me significant pain. So I am proud to be wearing my
Z-CoiL shoes, as now I have little or no pain most of the time. I tell

Two years ago my wife and I were in a traffic accident. I suffered
eight broken bones, three of which were in my left foot. One
metatarsal was crushed and one inch of bone was destroyed. While
everything healed well, I have not been able to walk more than about
15 minutes at a time since then. The pain in my left foot was just too
intense. I had tried just about every shoe design out there to
compensate, but nothing worked. Then a medical worker told me about Z-CoiL®
shoes. I bought a pair yesterday and last night I actually walked a
complete mile pain free. So, to celebrate, this morning I walked
another four miles. While the left foot still gets a bit tender, for

I work at one of the casinos here in
Lake Charles, Louisiana. It's a very fast-paced business and we're
constantly on our feet 8 to 9 hours a day. I have had lower back pain
for years and recently developed severe pain in my left foot. I went
to an orthopedist and he found that I have arthritis in my heel and
also very
flat feet. I tried some other well known shoes and some arch supports,
but they didn't help. Admittedly, I am one of the world's worst
skeptics, but after reading about Z-CoiL® shoes online, I decided to
purchase a pair. Carlin Chapman, at the store here in Lake Charles,
was very helpful and knowledgeable and took the time to make sure I
was properly fitted in the shoes. He even made some adjustments to
them for the way I walk! After just a couple of days the improvement
was amazing and I no longer have to take pain medicine to get through
the day! I've been praising them to my friends and co-workers and
several of them plan to get a pair. I'm sure, like me, they'll only

I'm 82 years young and had suffered for about 70 of these years from
pain associated with Charcot-Marie-Tooth Syndrome. I had many painful
symptoms that were caused by nerve deterioration. Due to the disease,
I endured multiple surgeries that resulted in hard, painful clot-like
spots on the bottoms of my feet. This made walking very painful and
difficult. I have suffered from severe foot pain and poor balance for
most of my life.
That changed about two years ago when I found [Z-CoiL®
footwear]. I bought my first pair in Cornville, Arizona and felt
immediate relief from some of the pain I had been experiencing. My

I would wake up each morning taking bets on which part of my body
would give me more pain during that particular day. Would it be my
curved back? A safe bet as every other morning my back made me grimace
as I got out of bed? Perhaps it would be my inwardly rotated right
leg? Ten operations had done nothing to alleviate the muscle and joint
pain years of Cerebral Palsy had inflicted upon me. A good outside bet
would be my neck and shoulder area, a recent but respected pain that
could hold its own against the big two. On a good day I would feel
pain in one of these places. On a bad day, all three would take over
my body.
I just dealt with the pain. It was a part of my life. Period. I was
skeptical of future operations, physical therapy. "Special shoes" just
made me grimace as I took that as a sign that I needed help in order
to be like everyone else. So I begrudgingly accompanied my mother to a
shoe store in Miami, after she had seen someone in the street with
these "special shoes."
The guy in the store seemed ok. He seemed normal. He noticed how I
walked (it’s hard not to!) and within seconds he had a pair of z-coils
that suited me. I tried to explain to him that my legs are not the
same size, leading to me walking on my toes with my right heel in the
air. He went into the back room, put a lift into the right z-coil and
rotating the coil according to my personal requirements.
I put the shoes on. I took my first steps in the z-coils. I was
taking small steps around the store, while taking giant steps in my
walk away from pain. My face beamed with amazement, freedom, disbelief
and gratitude. I had two new feet. Looking in the mirror, I could see
my shoulders were the same height! I was able to put an equal amount
of weight on my right foot as on my left while remaining upright.
Several months have passed since I first received my z-coils. I now
wake up each morning without any pain. I no longer get tired while
walking long distances. My z-coils have given me a new lease on life,
a life I never thought was possible.
